AMC 12

1 problem from AMC 12, each rated for difficulty. Solve one to open its discussion.

The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) are a series of prestigious math contests organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) for middle school and high school students, typically from Grades 6–12, designed to test problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning, and serving as a pathway to higher competitions such as the AIME and the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO).

The AMC 12 specifically is the same 25-question, 75-minute format as the AMC 10, open to students in grade 12 or below, and draws on a somewhat wider range of topics including trigonometry and logarithms. It is also a qualifying route to the AIME.
