1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Robols Math, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

In these Terms, "we" and "us" mean Robols Math; "you" means the person using the site.

2. Who may use the site

Robols Math is open to anyone interested in competition mathematics. If you are under 13, or under the minimum age at which you can consent to online services in your country, you need a parent or guardian's permission first.

You must not use the site if a previous account of yours has been banned.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
  • One account per person. Creating additional accounts to gain an advantage — for example to view answers, inflate a rating, or vote more than once — is not allowed.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

Profile details can only be changed once a week. This is deliberate, so that names on the leaderboard stay recognisable.

4. How to behave

Do not:

  • Post answers or solutions where they would spoil a problem for someone who has not yet finished it
  • Harass, insult or threaten anyone, or post hateful, obscene or otherwise offensive material
  • Post spam, advertising, or content unrelated to the problem at hand
  • Deliberately post mathematics you know to be wrong in order to mislead
  • Attempt to extract answers by automated means, scrape the archive, or interfere with how the site runs
  • Try to gain access to another person's account, or to parts of the site not meant for you
  • Break the law, or infringe anyone's rights

The discussion on a problem opens once you have solved it or given up on it. Working around that restriction is a breach of these Terms.

5. What you contribute

You keep ownership of everything you submit — problems you propose, comments you write, solutions you share.

By submitting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, store, reproduce and adapt it as part of running Robols Math, including reformatting it and correcting errors. This licence continues for as long as the content remains on the site.

When you propose a problem:

  • You confirm you have the right to share it.
  • If it comes from a competition or another source, cite that source. Do not present someone else's problem as your own.
  • We review every proposal, and may edit, reclassify, re-rate or decline it.
  • If it is accepted, it is credited to your username in the problem's source line.
  • Your solution is posted as the first comment on the published problem, credited to you. Like every comment, it is only visible to solvers who have already finished that problem.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, write to us and we will look into it.

6. What belongs to us

The Robols Math name, logo, site design and the software behind it are ours. You may use the site for your own study and practice. You may not copy the archive wholesale, republish it, or use it to build a competing service.

7. Moderation and bans

Anyone can report a problem or a comment. Administrators and moderators review reports and decide what to do.

  • A comment may be removed. If yours is, we will tell you which one and why.
  • An upheld report against your comment is recorded as an offence on your account.
  • Repeated offences may lead to a formal warning, and then to a ban.
  • Serious breaches may lead to an immediate ban without warning.

A ban ends your access and prevents the same email address or Google account from registering again. If you believe a decision was wrong, write to us and we will reconsider it.

8. Ratings, XP and the archive

Your rating and XP are figures we calculate to make practice more useful. They are not property, they carry no monetary value, and they may change when we correct errors or improve how they are calculated.

  • Problem difficulties and ratings are recalibrated regularly, and your rating moves with the results you produce.
  • Multiple-choice problems allow one attempt. A wrong answer closes the problem, and it counts against your rating in the same way as giving up.
  • We may add, edit, re-rate, withdraw or remove any problem at any time.
  • If we find that a score was obtained by cheating, we may correct or reset it.

9. No warranty

Robols Math is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every stored answer is correct. Please report mistakes — that is what the report button is for.

Nothing here is professional or academic advice, and we do not guarantee any particular result in any competition.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes, suspension and ending

We may change these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will ask you to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site. You may stop using Robols Math at any time and ask us to delete your account — see the Privacy Policy for what that removes.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute — without affecting any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
